The default languge for new documents should not be set to the language

your regional settings set accordingly)?
I'm running under Windows, with all my settings on the equivalent of
en_GB. I don't even have the US keyboard as an option at the moment, since
I use Swedish when I want to get accents. (hi, Jörg)
Another possible issue is, that if you ever started the office in a
en_US locale or with a en_US GUI, it may have remembered the locale.
What happens for a new user (or if you remove the ~/.OpenOffice.org2.0
directory?
I haven't tested this. But I have certainly not started any of the 2.0
builds under an en_US locale. I'll try a new user, since my
~/.OpenOffice.org2.0 directory is heavily customised with keyboard
settings etc that I really don't want to use.
