Since there was a discussion of show stoppers, I would like to ask whether the following bug is a such a show stopper? With this bug, many users cannot open files on local or network drives (the summary is misleading). Apparently the workarounds are to rename some local files and map some network drives, but since opening files is a very common operation and it's common to have many files and many network paths, the workarounds may be very inconvenient.
