Hi all,

beside the comment, that I really enjoyed the weekend (it was great to have such various people there, discussing and working on OOo) I'd like to put some notes on some of the items. (And will follow up the ToDo's in several threads).

Work on the Testtool

Setup testtool
starting scripts
Presentation of the screenshot mode
Using TT in combination with a non product build (debug version) for UI review
Analyzing results of testtool and a bunch of practice

This presentation / hands on workshop has be done to support the review of the german localized User Interface. All the information that have been provided by Thorsten Bosbach have been really usefull. As other teams (afair french and italian teams) already told, that they are doing a UI review as well, I can only advice to read through the materials and try the screenshot functionality of the testtool. Thorsten did provide further information in this mail:

Bug-Hunting (working together on issues)
This was a really funny part. Once and again you heard words like "hey, this is a real *nice* one" or "I bet you, I get it to crash with only two mouse clicks". But after all, we've been able to collect a lot of information to tricky bugs, what would hopefully help the developers to implement the fixes.

TCM-Framework (Petr & Petr from Prague)

Presentation of the new TCM (Test Case Management) framework
Discussion about release tests when using TCM:
How does a good bug description look alike ?
How precise, unprecise, short or long must a test description be ?

This was a great presentation, esp. the ability to see, how to work with the OpenSolaris TCM was appreciated. We found, that most of our wishes that have been collected at the wiki could be fullfilled by the OpenSolaris TCM. In addition it provides several ways for reporting and new ways to manage test cases. So all who were able to attent, agreed that it was the right way to use the OpenSolaris TCM for coordinating tests within OOo.

The presentation is available at our documents & files section

so far for now ..
