I don't see a need to excuse. You have done your job. It was better to find the problem in an earlier stage, yes.
But what puzzeles me here is, that issue 13141 (which Soren mentioned) is just "started" and shouldn't have been included in any way. Even worse, the issue is handeled differnt in Sun builds an in Pavel's builds. This should be resolved!
But I'd suggest, we should focus on a resolution instead of finding the one, who needs to excuse.
