About one month ago, Mr. Hu Caiyong, CEO of RedFlag Chinese 2000 Soft. Ltd, Co., had ever recommended National Application Software Testing Labs (NAST) to OpenOffice.org. I am just from NAST. I would like to give additional introduction about our NAST. Our institution has another title - Beijing Software Testing & QA Center (BSTQC). Just as Mr. Hu mentioned, our center is an active supporter of open source. We have continued to dedicate ourselves to the research and testing of OSS. Based on four years of OSS research and testing experience, BSTQC established Open Source Testing Lab (OSTL) in July 2005. Recently our BSTQC is cooperating with Redflag CH2000 for testing OpenOffice. This cooperative team includes testers from BSTQC and developers & testers from RedFlag Chinese 2000 Soft. Ltd, Co. This team will work under the guidance of CoSoft Alliance, a famous OSS promotion organization in china. We hope to improve the quality of OOo through our efforts, and then accelerate the development of OOo. Our team would like to participate in the QA work for OpenOffie.org. Since there are testers and programmers in our team, so we want to not only report the bugs to IssueZilla/IssueTracker by testers but also help fix OpenOffice.org bugs by programmers. And now we have finished testing the OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 RC3 (Simplify Chinese) on Windows XP. Total of 641 bugs have been found. Some of them are crash and 16 bugs are above the severity level 2. Our programmers are trying to fix them. We will contribute the buglist to OOo community as soon as possible and help to fix them. Any suggestion and consideration is welcome.
