When adding XP to my MiniMAC, I followed the instructions from C't - #1 German magazine with AAA credibility -. The CD created did not do it: it got stuck in Mac at the moment, when halfway through the installation the CD is tested for its genuiness. When used on my notebook, CD passed this point without any problem. It cost me 40€ (!!) to have the CD ejected and another ~100 to buy a genuine XP Home.

Which is what I would suggest anyhow. I for sure had 200€ of hassle, so buying upfront would spare me quite some time and money, Cant we afford to buy cheap (g)?
