Hello all :)

I've just finished writing an update email to our vi project's lists.

It reminded everyone of our current release status (Mac Intel blocked by PPT export bug, Mac PPC QA only started, QA for other platforms not started), and that QA must be perfformed in order to release.

Since so many of the TCM tasks are daily-living tasks, I described that situation, and asked for feedback from people who had successfully (or unsuccessfully) done any of those tasks.

I translated the Release Scenario for TCM, not including the hyperlinked bugs or functions, but describing each task, stating each step and asking questions which can be answered by Yes or No (e.g. Did the document display properly? Did the localized filename display properly? Were there any errors?)

This meant most of the email was a form to fill in for QA. The form included the username, full name, architecture etc. I urged them to send it in, even if they could only answer one question. I encouraged them to apply for accounts with TCM, but did not require it, in the hope that I will get some data from the people who are currently too busy or too intimidated to try TCM.

I don't know if anyone else has been desperate enough to try something like this. I hope it works. ;)
