Hi Clytie,
1. Which Linux build belongs to a machine running SuSe and using rpm packages? Is it Linux Intel or Linux x86? How do we distinguish between the two different Linux systems based on users' descriptions?
we do not differentiate x86 Linux systems using rpm packages. We do differentiate systems if they use a different package format (like deb) or if it's a different platform (like x86-64) or if the installation packages differ or if it's from a completely different build (like Sun's vs Pavel's builds even if there's no difference on Source base but perhaps on build machine base).
2. How do I manually check testtool errors? For example, the Linux results:
You can doubleclick onto the errors within testtool to get to the Basic source that threw that error. The Basic code might point you directly to the error.
3. What do we do for warnings about filter names?
Maybe the test expects localized content for the filter names and the test script needs to be updated. Please ask the test owner of that test script (printed in the header of each test).
Example for first.bas: '* last change: $Author: jsk $ $Date: 2006/10/20 07:31:25 $ In this case ask [EMAIL PROTECTED]
4. What do errors citing "Invisible Window/Control" mean?
Maybe Thorsten Bosbach (tbo) can give you an answer to this.
5. Based on the results for the RPM or DEB build of one Linux architecture, can I also release the other? (If not, that's four separate Linux builds requiring QA.)
Each installation set should be tested before you give an approval to distribute them.
