Hi, security team

http://www.openoffice.org/security/index.html does not seem to be
updated. I think you should update it.

Thanks for forwarding this, Maho. :)

I also recommend having a link on the front page about any current security issue, bringing users to the main security page. Otherwise, how do they know where to look? I didn't, and I've been blundering around OpenOffice.org quite actively for several months now.

Hi everyone :)

I have had an enquiry from a user about "the security issue". I have
seen it mentioned once on one of the lists, but haven't seen any
announcements etc. since, and certainly not on the front page.

How can users find out if security issues have been addressed?

I've told him that OpenOffice.org 2.1 and later will advise users
when an update is available, but that doesn't necessarily reassure
people that their current software is secure to use. :S

Thankyou for any light you can shed on this for my user and me. :)
