Maho NAKATA, 02-02-2007 03:38:
I was asked by local (ja) ML about Vista support. So I wondered how I
answer this question, unforutnately, I don't know about Vista :(
Andre, Caio, Joerg, Joost, Thorsten, what we can say about Vista support
of OOo 2.1? Did you do some tests? Personally I don't have Vista,
so I should ask release QA in local ML.
Yesterday I received a free copy of Vista Business from my city's
Microsoft Innovations Center.
I'll try to install it on VMWare and to run some tests.
No Aero thing for Vista Business...
First of all, khirano's summary at [ja-discuss] helped me a lot. thanks,
Mathias Bauer's respond on a question might help us a lot,

OpenOffice.org runs fine on Vista. The current version (2.1) has some
minor bugs that are only annoyances (e.g. OOo uses the "old" file dialog
instead of the pretty(?) new one from Vista). They will be fixed in
OpenOffice.org 2.2
but not official.

I think we should wait for 2.2 to say something?
They are not stoppers, in my opinion.
But we haven't tested it to ensure that we don't have any.
We could ask for volunteers on the mailing lists to test 2.1 on Vista.
Maybe just using it being aware it might crash and reporting us any errors.
I don't believe we have a lot of Vista owners in the QA team yet.
