How did you tetermine that you're not logged in?
Many pages are cached, so you need to force a reload in your
browser to
see your login in the top-right corner...
Also make sure you have cookies enabled.
Another problem that I have found it that some pages won't show that
you are logged in at all, and will always show that you are not
logged in.
