Hello Miguel,

welcome to the QA team!

I've added the 'canconfirm' role to your userprofile. Please take some minutes to read at least the documentation about "How to start" and about how to handle bugs (we call them issues) within the bug tracking system IssueTracker. All related documentation can be found either on the QA homepage http://qa.openoffice.org and within the category Quality_Assurance in OOo Wiki at http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Category:Quality_Assurance

There are several ways to help:

If you like to help the application QA teams then please notify this mailing list. If you like to do automation then join the "GUI based automation" team (read http://qa.openoffice.org/ooQAReloaded/AutomationTeamsite/ooQA-TeamAutomation.html) If you're interested into doing source code based QA you could join the API testing team ( read http://qa.openoffice.org/ooQAReloaded/APITeamsite/ooQA-TeamAPI.html).
And you can help by confirming unconfirmed issues.

Kind regards, Joost

**Hi again,

May I please have access to change issue statuses?

Quick re-introduction - I've been "secretly" helping for a while now (since
like last nov/dec) but would like to actually make a difference in your
load/work. I've been test-driving a bunch of distros lately & figured I
could help you guys out as well- killing two birds with one stone, as the
saying goes. I worked in software QA from 1999-2004 (IT Management
afterwards) & while I'm unemployed at the moment, figured I could use &
polish my skills while giving back to OOo which I love & promote to all my
friends- slowly converting them all hehe.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your team.

maiko aka Miguel H.
