I'm new, and would like to join the international QA Team. I've been working in the German dev and help teams for nearly two years, running the TCM Tests on Mac and Windows.

I'm always happy to welcome another Mac user. You started with a Blueberry iBook, huh? Good machines. I started with a LCIII, went through various Macs, and currently I use a MacBook, my younger daughter uses a Mac mini, and my elder daughter uses our superannuated G4 desktop. I used to run MkLinux on another partition before OSX, but OSX is definitely the best of both worlds IMHO. (My husband sticks to Debian, and my son uses both OSX and Debian/Ubuntu. I think our home router is running Fedora.)

I'm 26 years old, and living in a little commune in Switzerland. I began to use computers as a 12 year old boy, with Win 3.1 and DOS. After that, Win95 and Win98. Then I changed to Mac OS 8.6 with a Blueberry iBook. In 2002 I changed to OSX 10.2.x, later 10.3.x, and since then I have also bought a WinXP PC. In the last few years, I have also begun using Linux and the Mac console. I can write HTML/CSS PHP and a little bit of MySQL. Yes, I think that's all.

It's a good start. :)

The command-line experience is always useful, too.

I play a lot of sports. I play floorball.

I used to play badminton a lot, before I became ill. My husband flies gliders, and has just started flying model helicopters. My son is more into martial arts. My younger daughter thinks IM chatting with her best friend is exercise (all that keyboarding!), and my elder daughter has just had a baby (my first grandchild! :D ) ;)

If you have any questions about my profile, ask me.

We can always use more testers, and I'm sure the other team members can tell you more in detail. But the best place to start is the QA homepage [1], and looking at unresolved bugs in the Issue Tracker, especially those relevant to this release (2.3).

I hope you enjoy working in the QA Team, Raphael. :)
