I am not aware of an official 64 bit build. Historically, I have removed the 64 bit version and installed the 32 bit standard distribution.

Does a 64 bit build provide any advantage over a 32 bit build?

Actually 64bit version of OOo had provided issues on 64bit distributions like Gentoo in my opinion and that is why it seems that OOo cant really handle 64bit.

I expect that it will be larger, use more memory and resources, but it may have a faster runtime for some things.

I agree. I dont own a 64bit processor so I really don't know much about this topic. But I got a question on the SP mailing list.

Hi is there a 64 bit version of RPM for OpenOffice.org at the OOo distribution site?

Has this been brought before?
