You cannot test if the effect is "showing" in the right way. You can
only test if an effect has been assigned correctly to an object.
(by deselecting the object, select it again and check what effects it
has assigned to it)

Most of the time, this is right. But add a timer-value after .exists (
DocumentPresentation.Exists(5) ) to give the presentation-screen some
time (in this case 5 seconds) to appear.

Well, only if you want to check images manually after the test is run.
But then it's not "automatic" testing anymore. I would not test in that
way.

Yes, you can simply set the kontext to "DocumentPresentation" and do
something with it. For instance, if you have more than one slide, you
can bring up the Navigator, check at which slide you currently are, make
a mouseclick or a hTypeKeys "<SPACE>" to change slides, and then check
the navigator again to see at which slide you are.
If it works, it's there and it's working. And if it doesn't work -
you'll get a warning in the logfile.

And when you read that logfile, you'll know something went wrong.
And you will also know _where_ it went wrong.

Instead of using Dialogtest and having to go through lots of screendumps
to _maybe_ see something which is wrong.

No. It's not disturbing. You have questions, we have answers. Ask more.
And keep asking. : )
