I doubt that it is possible to install DEV300 side-by-side to the stable version 2.4. I use the deb packages. Version DEV300 installs two directories under /opt. One is named ooo-deb3 and the other is named openoffice.org. As I can see the content of the directory openoffice.org overwrite parts of the content of the directory openoffice.org which was installed by version 2.4. > > Attention: Due to a bug (issue 88445) the installation of language packs > will fail. To install version DEV300_m10 over DEV300_m9 you have to do it with dpkg -i --force-overwrite o*.deb.
