QA list can coordinate the testing - developer needs to coordinate the implementation of fixes. My experience is, that for "quick inter-project-communication" IRC works well. E.g. set up an IRC meeting, invite QA and developers for a "bughunting and brainstorming" session. This could easily be set up about a week after the extension is availabvle for testing (this gives enough time for people to play with the extension).
