Hi Rafaella ans Mechtilde,
the open points are the smoketest and other tooling which have to be
adapted before the default package format can be changed. Currently
one engineer is on vacation and will be back in 2 weeks. This is
the reason why the change isn't integrated now.
But this is the reason for the default build only. It is possible
to build the CWS on Linux as tar.gz files since some time. So
if it is possible to rebuild the packages, it should be done as
tar.gz.
=> Rafaella : How it should be done? I'm not the expert in CWS building.
Please ask one of the release engineers.
Thorsten

Hi Andrea,
If it is only a couple of days away, we can wait for localisation29.
l10n CWS builds can be found at:

These are not the package format for LinuxThorsten Ziem announced.
This is a tar.gz of RPMS.
thank you for pointing this out. However, I thought - at least from
reading from the list, that it would take some time after Beta 2 to
start applying the proposal.
Thorsten, can you please comment on this?
Thanks,
Rafaella
