Sometimes I asked me why I write information on more than one media and now I know one more sometimes also would be better.... eMail to everyone @openoffice.org also would not fix the problem.... Also all team members registered in the qa-automation team (see web page, there are not only Sun employees) got a feature mail '"DEPRECATED and UNUSED routines will be deleted in new modul "testautomation"' So what did I miss? *Three* places with nearly the same information (in a different context) and you missed them all.... Sorry, but to focus on a static web page makes no sense. The communication channel is here and IRC where you can get one of the Automation team member surely. If you not follow the progress of the project you always will behind the lines, generate such threads and won't have fun, be sure.
