IIRC the reason for the problems with dashes isn't Hunspell but OOo, as
we use dashes as word separators (currently - it's planned to change
that: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=64400).

For such technical details it's probably better to use the
[email protected] mailing list.
