run-tests.sh < ../../framework/{optional,required}/*.bas
but I don't know how to run run_tests.vbs
run-tests.vbs < ..\..\framework\optional\*.bas
doesn't work.

You can find more about VLC TestTool at it's wiki page[2] and to create
screenshots of every dialog that is being opened during testing you
should add this to your .testtoolrc:
