Hi,
I had a talk to the developers and the told me that the print dialog will be redesigned in the near future. The settings made under tools/options/impress,draw are general settings for default. Settings made directly in the file/print/options dialog are just made for this specific document and also stored with it. This may look confusing on the first look, I understand.
Hope this helps a bit,

Regards, Wolfram

Hi thorsten wolfram stefan and oliver,

Sorry for my complicated email. Becauce this problem exists in Writer Spreadsheet and graphics, so I ask for all your help.
Thanks in advance.

Print is a framework funtion, but I find there is a little difference in these applications.

Firstly in Writer,
File - Print - options in print dialog - uncheck " left pages"
in printer options dialog - ok - ok, begin to print, after print
successfully,
File - Print - options in print dialog - find " left pages" is still
unchecked
in printer options dialog, namely keep the user's settings.
Tools - Options - Openoffice.org Writer - Print - find " left pages" is
unchecked.
* When user changes in file print options, system print settings changes in tools- options .* Secondly in Calc, File - Print - options in print dialog - uncheck " Suppress output of empty pages"
in printer options dialog - ok - ok, begin to print, after print
successfully,
File - Print - options in print dialog - find " Suppress output of empty
pages" is checked
in printer options dialog, namely don't keep the user's settings.
Tools - Options - Openoffice.org S- Print - find " Suppress output of empty
pages" is checked.
* system print settings stays still in tools- options.*
Thirdly in Drawing and Impress,
File - Print - options in print dialog - check "Grayscale"
in printer options dialog - ok - ok, begin to print, after print
successfully,
File - Print - options in print dialog - find " Grayscale" is checked
in printer options dialog, namely keep the user's settings.
Tools - Options - Openoffice.org S- Print - find "Grayscale" is unchecked.
*When user changes in file print options, system print settings doesn't changes
in tools- options. *

TIA!
