This is not true. 3.0 3.1 and 3.1.1 are all released for PPC. I run 3.1.1 RC2 on my G4 with 10.5.8. Highly recommend you run software update to get the latest operating system. The problem here is there are not enough PPC users involved in the project. More testing is needed and the above versions simply have not had the proper quality assurance "go ahead" to move them to release status. They're perfectly stable, and there are ongoing bugfixes and error reporting like with any version. If you want to see releases more swiftly, I highly recommend becoming involved as a tester.
