yes, I forgott to name it more version independent. :-(
But since I removed the version check between the version string in the
hid.lst and the OOo version to test there should be no impact on this.
The version of the hid.lst is also no more printed out on test startup,
so there is no confusion until you look inside the hid.lst ;-)
I will change that in an upcoming CWS.

About a year ago the handling of the file was changed the last time

Now it is changed back, but it contains only 5 entries which are
static.
The file is again in the testautomation module at:
testautomation/global/hid/hid.lst
For this you just have to take care about the switch in the testtool
settings:
In VCL TestTool : open 'Extra' from the top menu bar
- Select: settings
- Tab page: Profile
- Check: Default HID directory
