general symptom is something like:
invalid-argument: confirmed < (65535+0) but only sent < (65533+0)
(qpid/SessionState.cpp:150)
seen when running a federation link with acknowledgements turned on for a long
period (i.e. lots of messages, exact number depends on the ack frequency
selected).
