Carl Trieloff commented on QPID-2539: ------------------------------------- I think the thread can be summed as follows: - The acl v2 mechinism can most likely handle all if not all the cases, (maybe a few minor things are missing). - From the Java side, they have a few defined (groups/roles) with specific predefined permissions. I think the debate will come down to -- should we include a set of 'qpid-defined' named roles with permissions set. The approach on the C++ side has been to allow the user to create what he needs. But having a few predefined groups (even if just shipped in the default acl file) that may be meaningful.
