The next step is to only export those symbols explicitly marked for
external use. I have a few glitches to iron out with that.
Apologies if I said this already but - please enable selective exports for all
the libs, not just messaging. I suspect it will make for a big improvement in
compile times and binary sizes. Its been on my to do list for months but never
got to it...
