Hi all,

I figured that since we have a shiny new website, it would also be a good
idea for us to make it conform better with the recommendations and/or
requirements for Apache project websites.

To that end, I have prepared an updated download page (currently viewable at
http://qpid.apache.org/download2.cgi ) to replace the existing version and
fix offences such as linking directly to the main Apache distribution server
instead of the mirrors, and not providing links and instructions to the
KEYS/signature/checksum files and how to use them. I also tweaked the table
alignment a bit and used just the filenames as the link text instead of the
full URL to make it look a bit less crowded.

Nice!

You have to link directly to the .cgi file, but it also requires an .html
page of the same name, so I will investigate adding a .htaccess based
redirect for people who have download.html bookmarked, or failing that we
can leave download.html in place as a redirect and call it something else.

That would be good.

I'm going to be committing the source file and moving this version into use
at the weekend unless someone has issue with it, in which case please shout
:)

No issues on my side. Thanks for your work! This is definitely better with several of us working on it.
