Running perf analysis on the last router in the 3 router linear flow gives the
following:
11.3% qd_message_message_annotations()
10.9% router_annotate_message
0.05% compose_message_annotations
Sum: 22.5%
Compare this to the "downstream router" in the 2-hop case above.
