Compatibility between qpid 0.24 and 0.26

I have to use AMQP for work and we are mandated to use qpid 0.24. I
downloaded and installed 0.26 and got push back regarding it. Is there any
issue with using the newer version to talk to older versions (new features
that we should be aware to not use, etc)?  I know both versions are AMQP
0-10 compatible.
