Darryl L. Pierce edited comment on QPID-5794 at 5/30/14 1:59 PM: ----------------------------------------------------------------- This seems to be two missed problems. In the case of the Connection class constructor it was missing the 0.22 C++ code with the 0.26 Ruby code. So that is not a bug. The regex case seems to be a real bug, an incompatibility between Ruby 1.8.7 and Ruby 2.0 where, with the latter version, things run well but not with the former. Using RVM and Ruby 1.8.7 I can rebuild Qpid and recreate the problem: {quote} ^_^ [J:0/1040] mcpierce@mcpierce-laptop:ruby (master) $ ruby -I lib examples/spout.rb "my-queue;{create:always}" examples/spout.rb:112: invalid regular expression; there's no previous pattern, to which '{' would define cardinality at 2: /^{(.*)}$/ examples/spout.rb:114: invalid regular expression; there's no previous pattern, to which '{' would define cardinality at 1: /{.*}/ {quote} was (Author: mcpierce): This seems to be two missed problems.
