The documentation for setting up SSL at
http://qpid.apache.org/releases/qpid-0.28/cpp-broker/book/chap-Messaging_User_Guide-Security.html#sect-Messaging_User_Guide-Security-Encryption_using_SSL
states:
"To open an SSL enabled connection in the Qpid Messaging API, set the protocol
connection option to ssl."
The correct connection option is "transport", not "protocol".
