Darryl L. Pierce commented on QPID-5901:
----------------------------------------
XQilla is available for RHEL6 via RHN, and delivers soversion 5 of the library
required. On my RHEL6 box I see:
^_^ [J:0/1001] mcpierce@mcp-el6:~ $ yum info xqilla
Loaded plugins: priorities, product-id, rhnplugin, security,
subscription-manager
*Note* Red Hat Network repositories are not listed below. You must run this
command as root to access RHN repositories.

Can you verify that the EL6 box being used is registered with RHN?
> Qpid XML Exchange cannot be used on EL6
> ---------------------------------------
>
> Key: QPID-5901
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-5901
> Project: Qpid
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: C++ Broker
> Affects Versions: 0.26
> Environment: We use Qpid 0.26 on EL6 as provided through katello
> koji, using SRPMs created by the Qpid team. See the NVR here:
> http://koji.katello.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=12285
> Reporter: Brian Bouterse
> Assignee: Darryl L. Pierce
>
> The XML exchange functionality of Qpid is provided by the package
> qpid-cpp-server-xml which is produced from SRPM qpid-cpp. Pulp includes and
> delivers all qpid-cpp SRPM bits for EL6 from koji so a recent version of Qpid
> is available on EL6. The qpid-cpp-server-xml package is missing a dependency
> called 'xqilla' that is not available in base EL6 or EPEL. When a user goes
> to install the RPM, they get the following error message.
> error: Failed dependencies:
> libxqilla.so.5()(64bit) is needed by
> qpid-cpp-server-xml-0.26-8.el6.x86_64
> xqilla is needed by qpid-cpp-server-xml-0.26-8.el6.x86_64
> One workaround is the user could build the xqilla library from source.
