Make an extension to the Java Broker model to allow it to capture the permitted
child type of each type. For example, in the Virtualhost hierarchy the VH type
is restricted according to the type of the parent VHN This allows change
allows this restrictions to be codified in a generic fashion.
Extend the metadata service to reveal the same information via the REST API.
It is the UI that will make use of this information to populate drop downs and
drive validations, avoiding the need for hard coded logic.
