I haven't had a chance to look into the NPE yet, I shall try to do so soon...
In terms of durable links, that would be a function of how you set up the
consumer in your client code rather than queue configuration on the broker...
I think it's probably unlikely that you've set up durable links by accident, so
I'd guess this is some sort of broker bug as you suspect.
