After more investigation, the issue noted above with 0.9 was worked though via
PROTON-853. There were also some memory leaks found in 0.9 (and previous) that
have been resolved via PROTON-848, PROTON-849, PROTON-854. There will be a
0.9.1 release incorporating those and other important fixes since 0.9, so we
will want to use that release instead. updating JIRA title/description
accordingly.
