Robbie Gemmell commented on QPID-6941:
--------------------------------------
As Justin says this is typically automated already, essentially the entire
generation for a particular release can be. The main manual thing is creating
the necessary generation scripts/templates for a particular component if it
happens to be the first release of it, which this kind of was as the first
'qpid-java' release, e.g I made some new scripts+templates+make-targets for the
JMS client and now I just need to run them upon each release to generate the
new release page with all the docs/release notes etc.

> On performing 6.0.0 release, I had to export manually JIRAs from the JIRA
> system and add them into a release notes template (release_notes.md). IMHO,
> this step can be automated by adding a function into site generation scripts
> to call JIRA REST API to extract the release JIRAs and add building JIRAs
> table in the release template.
