Keith Wall commented on QPID-6944:
----------------------------------
Mark,
The testing I did on the 16th with your test case was done with TLS enabled on
a RHEL Santiago machine. I see no CPU spikes at all. I'm unable to reproduce
your problem at the moment.
I stand the suggestion I made to you on 18th (the selector thread patch and the
sampler in jvisualvm) as the next useful step.
Also, please tell me about you host hardware for the Broker. It is real
silicon, a VM etc?
Keith.

> Qpid is experiencing high CPU use when a message is sent. While the
> application still functions it causes the CPU to run at nearly 100%. This has
> been narrowed down to enabling SSL on the AMQP port. With SSL disabled there
> is normal CPU use, but with it enable the CPU use spike when messages are
> received or consumed.
