There are some issues (one blocking) with the files that get installed into the
install area.
* The C++ bindings do not install all the necessary header files to compile
programs that use the C++ bindings (Blocker).
* The installed examples directory includes some confusing files that are not
useful in making the examples but are only useful to build the examples in the
context of the source distribution.
