Go to the Overview tab and expand all branches in the tree view on the left of
the page.
Then click the User button on the top right and select Preferences from the
menu.
Switch between categories in the Preferences dialog, for example, open Core,
then Plugins.
Observe, that the tree view on the left briefly disappears and then reappears,
but all except one branch (the last visited one) are now collapsed.
I'd expect the tree to stay put and not be influenced by navigating around the
Preferences window.
