Apologies for taking 4 months to respond to this - unfortunately the link
from GitHub pull requests to the Qpid mailing list was non-operational, so we
didn't see this request until last week. I've now merged this to the trunk of
the official svn repo, as JIRA
[QPID-7668](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-7668). Hopefully we can
also include it in the next 6.1.x patch release.
