Alan Conway commented on PROTON-1176:

[~jr...@redhat.com] I don't think this has changed, probably it's the first
time someone's tried the out-of-fds case. Should be simple to fix.

> Core dump if reactor creation fails

> Project: Qpid Proton
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: python-binding
> Affects Versions: 0.12.0
> Reporter: Cliff Jansen

> Fix For: proton-c-0.18.0
> If a BlockingConnection fails creating a reactor from Proton-C, the wrapper
> constructor for the container fails on a null "impl" value, causing a core
> dump rather than an exception.
> This can happen if the process runs out of file descriptors and cannot
> allocate the self-pipes needed by the reactor.
