The {{ClassCastException}} mentioned by Keith does not cause the broker to
"fall over" as Rob predicted. It is being caught by {{FrameHandler:207}}.
As the code mentions this is not nice and it should be caught earlier and the
propper error reported so we still should fix it.
But currently we do not crash.
