Alan Conway resolved PROTON-1340.

Resolution: Fixed
The event_loop and other thread-related code been extensively reworked for 0.18,
this issue should now be resolved.
The class names have changed, but the functionality is essentially the same:
work_queue::add() replaces event_loop::inject()
