I suspect that Steve's observations might have been related to a (direct)
memory management problem (QPID-7753 - fixed in Broker-J v7.0). This was
worked around in the defect fix releases 6.0.7/6.1.3. If the issue is seen
again with one of these brokers, please raise a new JIRA.
