There are two issues when building the release tagged 0.8.0 on Fedora 27:
* compile error
* self test timeouts
The compile error is trivial. See attached file commit-22b5827. This issue is
fixed in master and in branch 0.8.x
The self test timeouts are widespread and variable. This is not an issue in the
master branch. If you would like to investigate you can use the attached
Dockerfile.
