Alan Conway commented on PROTON-1696:
-------------------------------------
[~astitcher] These are not failing in anonymous tests, they are failing in
PLAIN tests which we only support on the server side if extended SASL is
available. The proton library is reporting that extended SASL *is* available,
but apparently sasl2passwd2 is not. All tests except ruby and Go skip extended
SASL testing in this case, ruby and Go are giving an error. I can make them
skip like the others but this seems to be showing a real problem - on this
platform, the proton library claims to support extended SASL but we do not test
it.
> Go test of anonymous SASL fails if it can't find saslpasswd2

> Even if extended SASL is not being tested. In this case it shouldn't even be
> using saslpasswd2 to create an authentication database. Anonymous by its very
> nature doesn't use an authentication db.
