I think the correct (and simplest) thing to do here is on the _server_ side. So
that SASL servers will not offer GSSAPI or GSS-SPNEGO unless they are
specifically selected.
I don't think it is necessary to filter them out on the client side, as the
server probably should be controlling which mechanisms are in use anyway.
