Scraper could be run in both normal and split modes to verify that the scraper
process finishes normally. This would possibly help alert users to changes in
log file format or in code syntax errors that the developer didn't catch.
Testing that scraper finds and displays what it is supposed to find and display
is a harder problem and the subject of another Jira issue.
