It would have been *helpful* to have created an issue from the 0.28 release
discussion (note to self). The situation is unchanged from then - the issue
should be fixed, but other priorities have prevented enough time being spent on
it.
That being so maybe we should temporarily remove running them from the test
script, but leave the examples. Or something similar.
